missing, presumed dead, for over five years; CRACKER FARMBOY returns. slimming down to a solo project, having shed MARK QUESTION somewhere along the way, CRACKER FARMBOY follows the 2001 debut album 'history will be our judge' with a collection of boots, mashes and re-workings from some of his favourite artists.

the lead track, a reworking of M.I.A.'s 'bucky done gun' fuses the sri lankan MC with SURVIVOR's 'eye of the tiger'. says CRACKER FARMBOY: "M.I.A.'s track borrowed heavily - some say almost entirely - from a baile funk track by DEISE TIGRONA called 'injecao', which sampled the theme from 'rocky' - and in updating the tune, i wanted to pay homage to a different 'rocky' theme, the seminal track from 'survivor'."

the rework of ELLEN ALIEN's 'magma' retains allien's vocal and a sequencer sample, the rest of the music is pure cracker. "this was a nod to my old industrial roots - groups like laibach and neubauten. and i also just wanted to hear what a theremin would sound like in the middle of techno track."
